Nicholas Kernan
President, Chief Appraiser
Nicholas is an expert in upstream oil and gas asset valuation. He started his career in 2010 at ExxonMobil and has since worked for Devon Energy and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
He has valued hundreds of upstream oil and gas assets including family estates, corporate holdings, Native American allotments, and federally managed public lands. His experience spans every major oil and gas producing region of the U.S. He has taught courses on oil and gas property valuation at the Colorado School of Mines, the Rocky Mountain Association of Petroleum Geologists, and Federal agencies.
Nicholas holds a Bachelors from Hamilton College and a Masters from the Colorado School of Mines. He leads Petroleum Evaluations Group’s appraisal team and spearheads business development.
Henry Kernan
Chief Analytics Officer
Trained as a Petroleum Geologist, Henry pivoted into programming and is a full-stack web developer.
He helps bring cutting edge technology to the oil and gas industry, particularly to software startups. He has worked at ExxonMobil, Quantum Reservoir Impact (QRI), Guggenheim Partners, and geoLOGIC. He also founded his own company, WellLogData. Henry holds a Bachelors from Williams College and a Masters from the Colorado School of Mines. He leads Petroleum Evaluations Group’s software development efforts.
Aaron Close
Chief Advisor
Aaron brings decades of oil and gas industry experience to Petroleum Evaluations Group’s ranks.
He has worked for numerous major oil and gas corporations including Marathon Oil, Encana, and ExxonMobil. Additionally, he has extensive experience in consulting through Quantum Reservoir Impact (QRI) and his own private practice. Aaron holds a bachelors from the Colorado School of Mines. He provides technical expertise and business advise to Petroleum Evaluations Group.
Adam Eilenberg
General Counsel / Advisor
Adam is the founding partner of Eilenberg & Krause LLP, a New York boutique law firm specializing in corporate and securities law.
He has decades of experience representing business across various market sectors including software and energy. A significant part of his practice is involved in helping growth companies obtain key technologies and develop those technologies for commercialization. Adam holds a bachelors from Hamilton College and a JD from Harvard Law School. He works as an advisor to Petroleum Evaluations Group and as general counsel.
